A Georgian style break-arch case typical of the work of the London maker William Webster, circa. 1710. The cabinet of the Chatsworth is decorated with book-matched burr veneers and inlaid with satinwood banding. The case features fluted quarter columns to the trunk and “Corinthian” pillars to the hood. The hood is removable to allow for movement adjustment. The cabinet is bleached, hand rubbed and waxed to achieve an “antique” patina. The clock is illustrated featuring the traditional brass moon dial. Further dial options are available.
