Description   Made in Switzerland this is one of the most luxurious madels of carriage clock. The models offered by L'Epee today are almost identical to those introduced in the 19th century. The name 'Venitienne' derives from the association with the Venetian goldsmiths who helped bring this design to prominence. This model has - strike repeat, alarm, day date and moonphase. Machining Every component (except the escapement) is manufactured in house in a high tech machine shop, using the original methods of manufacture, combined with the latest C.N.C. technology. Turning, gear cutting, burnishing, leaf polishing and milling are some of the many techniques used. Polishing One of the most important stages in production of the clocks is the hand polishing of each of the movement components and case parts, to ensure perfection is achieved. Gilding All the brass movement and case components are gilded, to protect the working parts and the case for many years. Assembly Each clock is meticulously assembled by master clockmakers, who are highly skilled in their crafts. Each working process is controlled to ensure that the product is in perfect working order.
