Description   Made in the UK, the luxurious finish and graceful elliptical lines of this carriage clock give it a particularly feminine elegance. Its aesthetic appeal is further enhanced by the use of shaped, bevelled mineral glasses. This model first appeared around 1860. The models offered by L'Epee today are almost identical to those introduced in the 19th century. This model comes with an alarm. (alarm feature not shown) MACHINING - Every component (except the escapement) the clock is manufactured in house in a high tech machine shop, using the original methods of manufacture, combined with the latest C.N.C. technology. Turning, gear cutting, burnishing, leaf polishing and milling are some of the many techniques used. POLISHING - One of the most important stages in production of the clocks is the hand polishing of each of the movement components and case parts, to ensure perfection is achieved. GILDING - All the brass movement and case components are gilded, to protect the working parts and the case for many years. ASSEMBLY - Each clock is meticulously assembled by master clockmakers, who are highly skilled in their crafts. Each working process is controlled to ensure that the product is in perfect working order.
