Comitti of London - The Congreve

A favourite of clock collectors, the Rolling Ball Clock was invented by Sir William Congreve
and patented in 1808. The clock features an alternative to the pendulum as the escapement
regulator. The traverse of a ball along the grooves on the inclined platform trips the
escapement at the end of each cycle reversing the slope.

The solid brass eight day fusee movement is gold plated and protected by a glass cover. The silver plated dials
indicate the hours, minutes and seconds separately and the stunning movement is mounted on a solid mahogany case.
Details include:

- Hand made solid brass 8 day 24 carat gold plated fusee movement
- Solid mahogany hand polished base with fine curl veneers and key drawer
- Crystal glass mitred canopy to protect the movement
- Silver plated dials and blue lacquered Breguet style hands indicate hours, minutes and seconds separately
- Serial numbered movement with Certificate of Authenticity
- Bespoke finish combinations available on request
- Mahogany finish presentation travel case
