I recently purchased a Kienenger Mantel Clock for my son's birthday from Glenbryde Clocks. At the time of my call to Alisdair he explained that the firm was on annual leave and would be back the following Monday, eight days prior to the birth date. Alisdair went to great lengths to get this clock to me as soon as possible, even delaying his own holiday arrangements, and it duly arrived on the Wednesday after the firm started back to work on the Monday. What a tremendous service.

After searching the internet for a Skeleton Carriage clock for our son’s 50th birthday gift, (he has been wanting one for a number of years but found they were all too expensive) I found Glenbryde Clocks. Much cheaper than anywhere else, exactly the one my son has been wanting (Hermle). In Australia with the postage and handling the clock was far above the price we were willing to pay. Alisdair was so helpful and I could not believe the service from the time of ordering the clock to receiving it in South Australia it was only 15 days. Plenty of time for our son’s birthday. Thank you for the truly superb and very speedy service. It is almost beyond comprehension that you transferred the clock for shipment by United Parcel Service in Scotland earlier this week and it was delivered to my friend's home in Texas yesterday, which was Thursday. The clock is exquisitely beautiful and works perfectly. I certainly hope to do business with you and your company again in the future. The current exchange rate between the dollar and pound and $800 duty exemption under American law make it a tremendously good value to buy from Scotland and your company does a wonderful job in all respects.

For us the purchase of a longcase clock was a big deal and scary because there are few places to see before you buy. I did the usual searches on the internet which were of little help until I found Glenbryde. It's too easy when buying at a distance to be told "it will be there in 7 days" or "it's on its way". When I first phoned and spoke to Alisdair Morrow, it was just an inquiry, I was seeking all the information I could get. I can honestly say that every question I asked was answered perfectly, no sales pitch, no hard sell, Alisdair is passionate about his work, product and as time would prove, about the best customer service I have ever received (thank you). We have a heirloom Hermle wall clock, which my wife has known for over fifty years, which is now working perfectly on our living room wall, so it was a bonus that Glenbryde had the best prices too for Hermle clocks.
We chose the clock we wanted, asked for some detail changes and arranged the delivery date for the week after we returned from holiday, Alisdair's communication was perfect, confirming details, delivery etc. I received the clock as arranged, Alisdair even checked that it had arrived and if there were any problems, I should contact him.
Quite simply the best buying experience I have had.

Having decided to buy a new, reproduction Grandfather clock I wanted to find a retailer with a wide range to choose from and who had experience in the field. I chose Glenbryde in Scotland (even though I live in Cheshire, England) after having spoken to Alistair and finding his knowledge and advice to be exactly what I required. The process of ordering, manufacturing and delivering the clock understandably took several weeks, but throughout the whole process Alistair kept me fully informed and there was no time that I had to make contact due to feeling “in the dark”. I was looking to replace my broken carriage clock and malfunctioning wall clock last month, and incidentally visited Glenbryde's website. First of all, I found that the information posted at the website very comprehensive, and complete with pictures. I was able to search thru a lot of models and made my choices in a relatively short period of time. Secondly, they are very prompt and detail in their responses, along with professional advice.I have since purchased a mantel clock and a wall clock from Glenbryde, both made by Kieninger. Though I did not compare prices thru other sources, I believe their quotes are fair and reasonable. They did an excellent quality control job for me by rejecting the mantel clock with a slight defect on the glass door and replacing a new one. Since I live overseas, they are also very helpful in finding the appropriate shipping agent with reasonable fees. Thanks to Glenbryde, I am very happy with my two new clocks.

I had been interested in purchasing the Mackintosh clock for some time so had been carrying out regular google searches to see if any suppliers were offering a good deal. Despite searching for a couple of months, I don't recall Glenbryde ever appearing in the search results until last week when you were featured on the Twenga website.
I have been very impressed with the service so far with good communication or your part. I am also impressed that we had the opportunity to receive the clock as early as Wed of this week (although we had to decline this date due to other commitments).

Your professional knowledge and attention to detail was very reassuring and I must mention the careful packing of the clock which allowed me to safely transport the clock back to Aberdeenshire via Glenshee and Braemar. Since setting the clock up only a very small adjustment to raise the pendulum bob has been required to keep excellent time - now accurate to within 10 seconds per week.
