Vintage meets modern

The origins of the Metallica 1799 date back to the year 2000. At that time, a 5/6 precision pendulum clock called "1799" was introduced, featuring a unique case and a correspondingly striking appearance.  Twenty-five years later, the innovative design of that time has been reinterpreted. In an edition of just 15 pieces, all of today's state-of-the-art technical features have been integrated. Thus, the clock manufacturer Erwin Sattler has succeeded in creating a completely new model.

Behind the modern design of the dial with its cut-out and hand finished pallet arbor bridge is a high quality month running precision movement with jewel and ball bearings and agate pallets. A temperature compensated pendulum with barometric compensation helps the clock achieve exceptional accuracy.

Wood in combination with stainless steel lends the case a unique charm, which is further underlined by the domed crystal glass. There is a glass in the top of the case that allows for externa lighting.
When the case, equipped with a magnetic catch, is opened, the entire front part of the case pivots away from the back, revealing the magnetically attached case containing all the necessary accessories.

Fine curves instead of corners and edges fit perfectly and harmoniously into current living designs. A simple, modern but also playful precision pendulum clock with the task of displaying the time as precisely as possible!  Details include:
